Sam Hollis started DJing at friends’ weddings in 2015 and never stopped. Today Hollis & Vine is a small team of DJs and musicians who read a dance floor the way a good host reads a dinner table.
Every booking starts with a call, not a form. We want to know who has to be on the floor for the night to feel right: the aunt who loves Motown, the friends who’ll only dance to Robyn, the grandparents who need one waltz. Then we plan the music hour by hour, from the strings as you walk in to the last song you’ll both remember. We bring our own sound and lighting, arrive early, sound-check quietly and stay out of your photographs. You won’t hear a cheesy microphone voice from us, unless you ask for one.
